On the afternoon of Saturday 16/02/2019 in Glafki, within the framework of the “Γλαfx”, there was a training session on educational robotics, for adults in the area. In order to familiarize the local community with educational robotics, 17 people, educators, university students and parents were trained by eduACT trainers. Participants were informed about how we can teach our children through play and develop their skills while having fun. The LEGO training equipment used in the workshops, WeDo 2 and EV3, as well as the programming environment of both equipments, was demonstrated. Then they came into the role of children, they were divided into groups, built and programmed the riley rover with an ultrasonic sensor, in order to carry out a mission. Their mission was to escape from the flaming planet and safely reach Pluto, avoiding all the obstacles. During the activity, there was enthusiasm and appetite for achieving the goal, also there was no lack of healthy competition. Finally, in view of the visit of the children to First Lego League Xanthi, the participants were informed of the First Lego League Greece and First Lego League Greece Junior as well as the eduACT organization and its actions. After the end of the training, there was a keen interest in further actions in the region and cooperation.
