FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge

FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Challenge introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children ages 9-16 through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real- world problem-solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today's students and teachers build a better future together. FLL Challenge is being held in Greece by Eduact, bringing future education to the present. Five qualifying events are being held all around Greece (Thessaloniki, Athens, Xanthi, Herakleion, Volos) and the final event is being held in Thessaloniki.
Referee Observes the robot games, points out possible rule violations, evaluates the games’ score and discusses doubtful scenarios. He/She is leaded by the Head Referee. Plays a critical role on ensuring the normal flow of the robot games and keeping up the pace of the event. The referee is a role-model for the participants.
Judge:Evaluates the teams according to the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge Rubrics, by interacting with them. He/She contributes to the selection of the awarded teams. He/She is leaded by the Judge Advisor. The judge is a role-model for the participants.
Field Volunteer:The Field Volunteer ensures the smooth facilitation of the event, supporting the referees, the judges or the teams.
Tournament Organizing Team This team takes care of the preparation and the facilitation of the event. Organizes the procedures of the tournament and ensures the full functionality of all its parts.

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore & Discover

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore focuses on building interest in science and technology in children 6-10 years old. FIRST® LEGO® League Discover is an introduction to the world of STEM for kids from 4 to 6 years old. They are programs which are planned to stimulate little children’s curiosity and direct it to the discovery of science and technology. The programs’ theme is a real world’s challenge that children should look into through research, critical thinking and imagination. Each year’s challenge is based on a different theme and has two main parts: building with LEGO® and creating a poster. Guiding by adult trainers and the core values of FLL, team members work with LEGO® Education kits and focus on a subject that needs research in order to build their ideas and present them. You can participate in the one-day FLL Explore and Discover events with one of the following roles:
Reviewer Reviews the teams’ models and Show Me Posters, then collaborates with other Reviewers to assign awards to all teams. Will join other reviewers on stage at the Closing Ceremonies to hand out awards and High 5’s.. (You need to be 18+ years old to participate as a Reviewer)
Field Volunteer: The Field Volunteer ensures the smooth facilitation of the event, supporting the referees, the judges or the teams.

Robotics & S.T.E.A.M. Workshops*

Workshops* that includes robotics education, creative design, exploratory research and collaboration. They’re weekly 90min workshops with they have specific structure and they are held by Eduact | EDUCATION UNLIMITED’s trained educators. You can participate as

【robotics team coach】Specifically Eduact | EDUCATION UNLIMITED organizes FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge, FIRST® LEGO® League Explore και FIRST® LEGO® League Discover tournaments/expos. Through Workshops*, kids form teams that prepare for the final presentation of their work at the tournament/expo. The volunteers-coaches guide the teams during their meetings and at the tournament/expo. You just need to bring your playful mood and your smile at all the meetings.

S.T.E.A.M. & Robotics International Camp

S.T.E.A.M. & Robotics International Camp is an educational program that aims to familiarize kids with science and technology through a 24/7 time schedule, by utilizing summer camps’ facilities. For the last 7 years it is the most creative summer experience and it hosts children from all over Greece as well as from over 10 foreign countries. Our goal is to create memories that will remain for a life. The program combines educational robotics workshops, STEAM activities, sea-swimming, pool-swimming, sports activities and many more!
You can be a member of our team and participate as a group-leader, leading and inspiring a kid’s group!

Part of Eduact’s philosophy is discovering talents. Through our volunteering opportunities, we aim to stimulate individuals to bring out and nurture their talents. You can develop your talent by participating in the following teams:
Unlimited Builders: Build unique LEGO® creations, with simple LEGO® or/and LEGO® Technic, which will be showcased at our events or can be found useful to the operation of our organization!
Camera Enthusiasts’ Team: If you are a photography or/and videography virtuoso, if you desire to try out and develop your talent, then this team is for you!
Graphic Design Group: Be a part of one of the most creative and innovative teams! Show your skills and expand your experience, by creating beautiful graphics!
Social Media Content Creators: Practice your influencer skills and create content for our organization’s and events’ social media!
