"Completion of the FIRST® LEGO® League of Central Macedonia Regional Robotics Competition in Thessaloniki and qualification to the Greek Final"
The FIRST® LEGO® League of Central Macedonia Regional Robotics Competition was successfully held on Sunday 12 March in Thessaloniki, a co-organization of Eduact and the Region of Central Macedonia. TIF - HELEXPO S.A. hosted the event and the event took place at Pavilion 6, under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
A total of 52 teams with 500 students and coaches participated in the competition. This year's participants, with energy as this year's theme, find solutions and propose ideas for an innovative and better energy future. A significant contribution was made by the local community volunteers who exceeded 80 and participated as judges, referees and chaperones of the teams.
The Regional Competition of Central Macedonia is one of the eight regional competitions held this year in Greece. A total of 30% of the teams secure their qualification to the final of the FIRST® LEGO® League Greece which will take place on 18 and 19 March in Thessaloniki.
The teams that have qualified for the FIRST® LEGO® League GREECE FINAL in the CHALLENGE category are C3003 RGB X DOTBOTS, C3004 SCRAPS TEAM, C3034 PC-SMART, C3050 IRONBRICK GR34, C3058 KINGDOM, C3061 C' EST LA VIE, C3074 LEGO PIGS, C3080 XtremeRobots, C3109 NO NAME, C3123 ProBot, C3134 1. steinRobotik, C3141 11 thunderbolts !!!, C3173 Tech Knights, C3174 BotMakers, C3176 ROBOTHOOD, C3184 BOB TEAM.
The qualifiers of the Competition were announced by the team of judges, while the Closing Ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nikos Vergidis from the Gold Sponsor TITAN, who congratulated all the contestants for their efforts.
The event is supported by the Gold Sponsors: FODSA and the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Macedonia, Mobility Sponsor Avance and Scientific Partners O3 Out of Ordinary, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the International Hellenic University.
