On Saturday 26 January 2019, took place the fifth workshop of “Γλαfx”. In this
workshop the children learnt about the anatomy and the functions of the human
hand. Then, using their creativity, cardboard, straws and string made their own
mechanical hand. Each child gave his own touch to the craft, making each hand
unique, although they followed the same instructions and used the same materials.
In addition, through experiments, the children saw that a lemon can be used as a
battery and light a LED light and how the movement is transmitted, turning a
toothbrush into a “moving bug” by means of a battery and a vibrating motor. The
sequel is expected to be thrilling putting the kids into orbit, knowing about FLL
Xanthi.
