Full of excitement the kids came on Saturday 23 December 2018 for the second
workshop of “Γλαfx”. At this workshop, it was time for robotics and programming. In
the first part of the workshop, the main parts of the robot and also its sensors were
explained to the kids. Subsequently, the kids were separated in teams and built a
race car, with a motion sensor, using LEGO equipment. After they completed the
construction, they programmed the car to move and stop when it locates an
obstacle, in order to avoid crashing. For achieving the best possible construction, the
kids tested the car, by changing the car’s speed, its wheels and its body. At the end
of the workshop, gifts were given to the kids and also a card wishing them a happy
new year! Trainers and kids renewed their date for the new year.
