The eleventh workshop of the “Γλαfx” was held on Saturday, March 23, 2019. In the first part of the workshop, the children were asked to convert the multiplication tables from 1 to 9 in songs. Using their imagination and while collaborating in groups, they combined the multiplications with lyrics, trying to achieve rhyme and learnt through fun. In the second part of the workshop, each team built its own racing car using the LEGO Education equipment, WeDo. They programmed the car so that its speed was equal to the amount of sound the computer recognized. The goal of each group was to win a speed race, using as the “fuel” of the car the intensity of their voice, shouting and singing with all their might the songs they had made themselves. The children managed in a single workshop to become mathematicians, musicians, engineers and programers!
