10th Glafki workshop

On Saturday 2 March 2019, took place the tenth workshop of the “Γλαfx”. This workshop combines the exciting world of mathematics with the enchanting world of music. The children were taught about the lengths of musical notes and then combined them with the fractions. They saw how they could combine the operations of the fractions and understood the meaning of the fraction. Then, the children using their imagination and WeDo educational equipment, built up their own music box in groups. The building of the music box was free, but had to include the engine with a LEGO Minifigure and a cap with a built-in gyroscope. They programmed the music box to play melodies with certain duration only by opening the cap. It was a highly creative workshop that combined mathematics, music and the unique ideas of children!
